Commissioner Smith and his family made Holden Beach their forever home in 2020, drawn by the island’s strong sense of community and family values. As the father of ten children, he is committed to preserving the family-oriented character that makes our town special. Since moving here, they have been actively involved in local churches, nonprofit organizations, and schools, and are grateful to be part of this community.

Professionally, Keith has worked in the insurance industry since 2012, specializing in property damage investigations, flood and storm claims, fire losses, construction defect assessments, and large commercial losses. His experience analyzing damages, evaluating engineering reports, and navigating complex insurance issues has given him a deep understanding of the challenges coastal communities face.

Serving as a Holden Beach Town Commissioner is an extension of his commitment to protecting our town’s traditions while supporting thoughtful, responsible planning for the future. He is honored to serve the residents, families, and visitors of Holden Beach.
